CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: 6/28/2011

That first week of June it just felt as if the rain was never going to end, but at last it did! The construction crew was anxious to get going. As of this morning (6/28), they had dug out the parking garage, trenched its foundation footings, and begun to lay the rebar in for the foundation. Now you can get a much better feel for how the building will sit on the site. And look at that beautiful red earth! This is great building dirt!Red Dirt! It’s easy to work with, very consistent and easy to compact for roads and foundations (when it finally had a chance to dry out a little).
In the office, it’s been a bustle of activity as Lodge members choose their individuals options – like counter tops and

flooring – for their future homes. With the addition of four new households (4!), construction moving again, and members picking options, the Lodge is starting to feel very real!
